The Legend of Zelda movie is coming out soon, so we thought about which characters from the famous series should show up in it.
After the popularity of The Super Mario Bros. Movie, Nintendo is now making a live-action Zelda movie. Shigeru Miyamoto, who made Zelda, and Avi Arad (Spider-Man 2, Iron Man) are producing the movie. Wes Ball (The Maze Runner, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes) is directing it. So, which characters will be in the Zelda movie?
The Legend of Zelda games have some of the most well-known characters in video game history. Dozens of Zelda characters could work in a movie, whether they’re from an old favorite like Ocarina of Time or a new gem like Tears of the Kingdom. But which ones should be chosen?
Phantom Ganon
The spirit companion of Ganon is nearly begging to make his Hollywood debut. Phantom Ganon has one of the most dramatic boss fights in Ocarina of Time. He jumps in and out of paintings and then plays tennis with Link, which ends in death. That moment is famous and would look great on the big screen.
Phantom Ganon could be a great movie character because of his part in the shocking story twist of Tears of the Kingdom. Almost at the end of the game, it turns out that Zelda is really Phantom Ganon. It would be exciting to see Phantom Ganon in the Zelda movie because there are so many ways the story could go.
The Deku Tree
Every hero needs a reason to go on a quest, and Link’s first battle with Ganondorf is spurred by the sad death of the Deku Tree. In Ocarina of Time, this wise forest guardian acts as Link’s father figure. He gives Link a lot of love, advice, and Shakespearean slang.
The friendship between Link and The Deku Tree is very sweet. The only person in Kokiri Forest who knows that Link’s true character trait is his unwavering bravery is the Deku Tree. Because he is so important to Link’s past, having him in the Zelda movie makes sense.
Skull Kid
Skull Kid is very good at acting, so he would fit right in with the stars. Because he shows up in Majora’s Mask, this trickster is a famous Zelda bad guy. Not only that, but his sad past makes him one of the most likeable bad guys in the Zelda world.
This naughty kid steals the show every time he’s on screen thanks to his vividly strange personality and well-developed backstory. Since all Skull Kid wants is attention, he would bring a lot of heart, history, and wicked humor to the Zelda movie.
The Old Man
The first character you meet in the Zelda games is the strange Old Man. People who played the first Zelda game on the NES remember when Link’s father gave him his first sword and said, “It’s dangerous to go alone!” Here it is.
In Breath of the Wild, where he trains Link before telling him he is the ghost of the late King of Hyrule, he is the most interesting. He’s a character that can do a lot of different things and has been very important to Link’s travels. Giving Link a sword in the Zelda movie would be a great way to please his fans.
Impa
Impa is one of the characters that shows up most often in the Zelda games. She is usually Zelda’s bodyguard or nursemaid. She is best known for her role as the Sage of Shadows and a Sheikah fighter in Ocarina of Time. She always gives Link advice and points him in the right direction, no matter what her job is.
It would be strange if she wasn’t in the Zelda movie, given how important she is to the world of Zelda. The Hyrule royal family is incomplete without her, whether she’s in the background giving advice or in the middle of fight scenes.
Epona
Link has used many ways to get around, but his trusty horse is the best. Link has had Epona as a loyal friend since the N64, so their bond goes beyond time. They will find their way back to each other even after the country falls and evil takes over the world.
It’s always fun to see this pair work together to defeat monsters for the first time, whether you’re playing Ocarina of Time or Twilight Princess. These scenes would definitely look great in a movie, which is why Epona has to be in the Zelda movie.
Sheik
Peach giving up being a girl in trouble to become a butt-kicking hero is one of the best parts of The Super Mario Bros. Movie. The Zelda movie is the right chance for Princess Zelda to do the same thing. Sheik is Zelda’s other personality. He is a very good fighter who deserves to be the center of attention.
Sheik is best known for their role in Ocarina of Time, but their most interesting parts are in the manga version, where they work for Ganondorf as a double spy. Sheik could add a lot of drama and fight scenes to the movie, and he would also be a great addition to the story.
Ganondorf
Among all the Drive Mad characters, the King of Evil deserves a part in the movie the most. One of the most famous bad guys in video games is Ganondorf, who is also known as Ganon. He is a good opponent for the Hero of Time. He is an important part of every Zelda movie.
Ganondorf has always been a threat to Link and Zelda because he is the spirit of the Demon King Demise. With the Triforce of Power in his hands, he has unimaginable strength, which makes many boss fights very exciting. Any fight with Ganondorf would look epic on film, which shows that the King is the best bad guy.
