Among those sanctioned are Bulgarian official Stefan Milanov and French player Leny Mitjana, both of whom had previously been suspended due to their involvement in a 2023 Belgian criminal investigation related to a match-fixing syndicate.
All five players acknowledged their misconduct and accepted the stipulated penalties, relinquishing their right to a hearing. The infractions, which trace back to matches played in 2017 and 2018, encompassed manipulating match results, enabling illegal betting, accepting bribes to underperform, and neglecting to report corrupt activities.
Ecuadorian player Ivan Endara, who achieved a singles ranking as high as 367 in 2015, along with Mexican players Mauricio Resendiz and Raul Isaias Rosas-Zarur, received five-year bans, concluding in July 2029, in addition to fines of $15,000. Follow Betpro Exchange for cricket news.
In contrast, Mexican player Ivar Aramburu Contreras was fined $44,000, with $30,800 of that amount suspended, and is banned until March 2026. His brother, Aitor Aramburu Contreras, has been suspended until December 2025 and fined $36,000, with $25,200 of the fine deferred.
