The auto lock is available on:

• All 950 to 972 models with joystick steering
• All 966 to 972 models with HMU (steering wheel) steering

These medium wheel loaders feature improvements to the integrated brake system (IBS) and new engine RPM deceleration. Through this upgraded integrated brake system, the transmission neutralizing feature ensures smooth engagement.

Advanced technology

A new standard job-aid widget assists the operator in load-and-carry operations by controlling the bucket’s position at the most suitable height for stability and holding more material. Together with the work tool center interface improvements, changes to the zero-angle work tool widget allow setting different amounts of zero angles for the given work tool and attachments. 

The buttons on the implement control pod are 3 programmable ones and they help to gain the frequently operated functions more rapidly to enhance the working speed. Every operator has over 25 functions that work as options that can be selected and used in order to save specific settings. 

Cat Payload, manual tip-off, neutralizer settings and tips, and an application profile have also been integrated into the onboard display system. Another addition to Cat Advanced Payload, e-Ticketing, the weighing ticket is generated on board and can be sent as an electronic ticket to any programmable e-mail address of choice within seconds of completing the loading cycle thus minimizing on sheer handling of paper tickets within the cab. 

For Cat 966 XE, 972 XE, 980 XE, and 982 XE models, two new settings in application profiles enable each operator to adjust forward/reverse default speed range and rimpull limit according to preferences. The rimpull set limits and speed are displayed on the front dash so that the operator can check it. Also, the set site limits are provided on the operator settings to alert the operator of the maximum amount agreed on. 

Maximize experience through digital options 

The heavy equipment functions on uneven hard surfaces and sometimes unfavorable conditions. It is important to take care of the wheel of these medium-sized machines. To check on pressure before and after operation is an essential aspect that can save you operational time. 

To maximize the experience the tire pressure measuring system shows tire pressure on the main machine display. The system allows to transmission of the information wirelessly and the required tire pressure according to the job site condition is adjusted based on tire type and manufacture. You can adjust tire pressure and measure it throughout the operation via sensors. 

It is interesting to note that Cat Remote Flash and Remote Troubleshooting come as part of the redesign process. In run versions obtained through downloaded software update installations, the installations can begin from the on-board display. 

Features of dealer remote troubleshooting have been enhanced to comprise the histograms of the usage of the machines and the calibrations made on the systems. Time to PM intervals can be interfaced with VisionLink; the due time and overdue events are indicated by the display to the operator.
