If you’ve been looking for the best Instagram marketing tool, you’ve probably heard of Combin. You may be wondering if this tool is worth it. After working with this tool for a few days, I wrote this Combin review to share my experience.
Merge bot?
If you plan to use this tool to grow your Instagram account automatically, there are some things you should know. Combin is not an Instagram bot.
This does not automate activity on your profile. It will not automatically follow users, dislike content, or leave comments. The tool is more for audience management.
In other words, a dashboard with reports, charts, and other analytical marketing tools creates extremely targeted tracking.
In other words, it doesn’t take any action for you. But it gives you the ability to manually interact with accounts.
However, I noticed that Combin plans to launch automated tasks shortly. Unfortunately, it is not yet clear when the changes will be added. We’ll keep a close eye on Combin and update this review whenever new features are added.
Combination Products
First of all, Combin has two products: Growth and Programmer. The Growth is focused on audience management, while Scheduler is simply a tool for uploading and scheduling Instagram posts and stories.
Before you get too excited, the planner has yet to be released. It’s marked as “coming soon”, which is a shame because it looks like a helpful product.
Installation required
Another essential thing to know about this tool is that you have to download it and run it on your computer. Luckily, there are versions for all major operating systems, such as Windows, iOS and even Ubuntu. There is currently no browser version.
To access the program, you must download and install it. Luckily, the system requirements are shallow, with the only requirements being 4GB of RAM and 2GB of storage space. It doesn’t consume a lot of resources, that’s for sure.
You may need to use a VPS to run this program 24/7. Since the tool does not automate activities (it is not a bot), it does not need to be constantly opened and running. In other words, there is no reason to buy a VPS for this tool.
On the other hand, if you have an account to buy 3000 Instagram followers, Combin recommends using a proxy from your recommended list. The point is to get a dedicated proxy, so your login doesn’t constantly change, which is a clear sign that you’re using a bot.
Prices and fees

- Business – $30 per month.
Note. These prices are for Combin Growth, as Combin Scheduler has yet to be released.
As you can see, the prices are reasonable. I like how they include a free account for you to play.
The Starter account has some limitations, but it should give you an idea of how the tool works. It’s also good to know that there are no time limits or hidden fees; it’s free forever.
Eventually, Personal and Business will include automated tasks, although we’re still determining when those features will arrive. Until then, the main difference between subscription plans was the number of accounts you could connect.
With Starter and Personal, you can only connect an Instagram account. With Business, you can connect up to 5 for free, with the option to buy slot machines for another 10.
Now that we have the basics down, I’ll show you what this tool can do.
Starting with Combin
Think of Combin more like an Instagram user search tool. It has many filters that you can use to find particular users on Instagram.
After connecting Combin to your Instagram account, the next step is to create a new search. You can search for publications or users.
Looking for posts
Finding posts is helpful because you can not only like those posts but also interact with the owners of the images.
With Combin, you can search for posts by location, hashtag, or both. This lets you easily send “Pings” to others in your industry.
Search for users
Now, this function is the most useful. This is the main feature you will use to create your audience. It is primarily designed to create an audience similar to your competitors.
To begin, you will need the username of the profile you want to compete with.
Select the “Search By” option from the drop-down menu:
- followers
- follow
- Are you a commentator?
- Those who like
- Bio
- a list of users
Now, complete the relevant results. For example, if you select the Followers option, the tool will find all the followers of a specific user you added earlier. Likewise, the Commenters option will show everyone who has left comments.
You can also use advanced filtering and analysis to further restrict users. For example, hide underperforming accounts and filter by gender, language, recent activity, and whatnot.
If you use these filters correctly, it should be easy to track active users.
Note: The Bio Filter allows you to search for users whose bio description contains a specific keyword.
sliders
Every search has a “Like” and “Comment” slider, even for hashtag searches. The purpose of these sliders is to set the activity range.
Finding active users who use the hashtag you’re looking for is helpful. In other words, it is a great way to ensure you only find active users.
Manage your subscribers
The one outstanding feature of this app is that you can manage your followers quickly. You can see who is not following you and follow and unfollow users with just a few clicks.
Remember that it is better to continue following many users simultaneously at different times. Limit the number of followers and non-followers to a few, at least initially.
Export list
Another great feature is the ability to export your Instagram user list. You can create a list for almost all types of users.

This makes organising users or importing lists into other projects very easy. Ideal for data geeks!
Combin Pros
Now, let’s look at the professionals.
Certainly
Regarding Instagram tools, the first question people ask is, “Is it safe?”
It is very secure since Combin does not automate any activity on your profile. Think of it more like an Instagram browser and management tool.
On the other hand, it is possible to interact with users manually. And if you interact with too many users at once, Instagram may temporarily ban your account.
Additionally, you can add a proxy for an extra layer of security. Overall, Combin is entirely safe, and no need to worry about a ban.
Economic
Let’s face it, Combin is a very cheap Instagram admin tool. The fact that they have a free starter account forever is also significant.
The paid version costs only $10 per month. Of course, it won’t automatically create your audience for you, but it is a decent tool for finding and managing users.
Graph of posts with Growth
Growth is a separate product from Combin that you can use to upload and schedule posts. I really like this tool. Not only can you schedule posts, but you can also add all the relevant details, such as descriptions, hashtags, and location.
You can also schedule messages down to the minute and view all your scheduled messages in a beautiful calendar grid. It’s definitely worth exploring.
Easily interact with users and messages.
I really liked this tool because it can easily interact with the users and messages it finds. In the search results, you will see quick action buttons for actions. You can leave comments such as posts and even direct messages to users.
The good news is that you can also easily manage your content, for example, by replying to comments on your posts. It was cool because you could search for hashtags using the activity sliders and ping many users who liked all posts.
Combin Cons
And now about the shortcomings.
No automatic tasks (coming soon!)
As I mentioned earlier, Combin does not currently include automated tasks. This could be a deciding factor for people looking to grow their accounts quickly. This service has been in the planning stages for quite some time.
It must be running on your computer.
Unfortunately, Combin is not browser-based. You must download and install it. It can be annoying to open a program and log in whenever you want to use it.
Return Policy Case by Case
Most software companies will give you a full refund, no questions asked. With Combin, they will only return your order if your situation qualifies for a return.
They only provide refunds for specific cases. For more details, please see their official return policy. The good news is that you can cancel anytime, and it’s very cheap, so the risks are low.
Error-prone
While researching Combin, I came across reports of users struggling with various errors. Combin is prone to some unexplained errors.
One is “Waiting for Instagram Callback”, which blocks the app directly for some users. It also seems wonky; some days, it works, and others, it doesn’t.

You may be wondering if Combin is a tool we recommend. While we don’t resent this tool, we don’t wholeheartedly recommend it. However, it is a decent tool and can definitely be used to grow your target audience.
